Dassault has set an unbelievable coast- 至- coast record with the Falcon 8x. Below is a run down of the new record and what was done to earn this achievement. Along, is a video on how the Dassault Falcon set the SMO-TEB Coast-to-Coast Record from Santa Monica, California to Teterboro, 新泽西州.
Dassault Falcon recently invited BJT to take a special flight on a Falcon 8X from Santa Monica, 加利福尼亚州, to Teterboro, 新泽西州. The reason for this flight was simple: to set a speed record.
The company wanted to do this because the runway at Santa Monica was recently shortened from 5,000 至 3,500 脚. It would show off the capabilities of the 8X—that it could be loaded up with enough fuel, four passengers, and luggage, and still manage to take off from the short runway at Santa Monica before going on to fly across the country quickly.
Pilots Franco Nese and Ryan Duveneck were flying the airplane back home from China, and we caught up with them in Portland, Oregon. Way before the sun came up, we headed out to the airplane, the pilots started it up, and in no time, we were rolling and up in the air.
