NBAA’s utilizes No Plane No Gain advocacy information to work alongside, as well as educate, political figures.
NBAA’s six regional representatives are frequent visitors to the state capitals in their regions, where they advocate for business aviation issues, and educate legislators and their staff about the importance of the industry to their state and the country.
As a new year gets underway, and state legislatures across the country gavel into session, the materials NBAA representatives and other industry advocates leave behind after visits with lawmakers include resources from the No Plane No Gain advocacy campaign.
“All of NBAA’s regional representatives frequently use No Plane No Gain advocacy materials as part of their on-going efforts to educate elected officials and the public on the importance of business aviation to our nation,” said Steve Hadley, NBAA director of regional programs and Southwestern regional representative.
“These publications are invaluable to us as we work closely with community leaders, NBAA members, airport officials, legislators and more on a wide range of local, state and regional business aviation issues.”
According to Hadley, another new and important outreach tool for No Plane No Gain is a social media campaign using the hashtag, #BizAvWorks. The new resource is designed so that everyone who uses business aviation can promote the industry on a grassroots level. Learn more about #BizAvWorks. Recently, Stacy Howard, NBAA’s Western regional representative, participated in the 12th annual Arizona Aviation Day at the Capitol in Phoenix, which is held to promote and celebrate aviation, and inform legislators about the benefits and economic impact of aviation, including business aviation, in their state.
