In the wake of the recent, tragic shootings of Dallas, TX law enforcement officers, the business aviation community in that area has stepped up to show its support for the Dallas Police Department.
The board of the North Texas Business Aviation Association (NTBAA) approved a $2,500 donation to the Dallas – Assist the Officer foundation as a show of the group’s support for the department, which lost four of its members on July 7. One officer from the Dallas Area Rapid Transit authority was also killed.
“July 7 was a sad day for Dallas, but now we are trying to focus on all of the stories of bravery and kindness that also happened on that day, and continue to happen in our city,” said Marj Rose, founder and former president of NTBAA. “NTBAA is proud to support the wounded and fallen officers and their families through this donation.”
With nearly 500 members, NTBAA brings together the growing North Texas business aviation community. Launched in 2008, NTBAA provides a forum to network, educate, mentor, share best practices, and represent the interests of the business aviation industry. The group is made up of operators, manufacturers and associated business aviation vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
